In today's fast-evolving tech landscape, graduate education has become essential, with master's degrees frequently serving as the minimum requirement for professional roles in civil and environmental engineering across private industry and government agencies at federal, state, and local levels. Our department provides Master of Engineering (M.E.) and Master of Science (M.S.) programs in both Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, along with doctoral options including Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.). These graduate programs aim to develop tomorrow's engineering leaders through flexible curricula suitable for both full-time students and working professionals. Specializations span civil engineering disciplines like coastal, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources engineering, plus environmental engineering concentrations such as water quality management, treatment systems, hydrology, microbiology, air pollution control, and waste management solutions.
