The School Counseling/Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential program equips future counselors to support the diverse social, cultural, emotional, and educational requirements of students in urban multicultural school environments. Participants in the School Counseling program combine justice-focused academic learning with hands-on fieldwork, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application to foster fairness in educational settings and beyond. Our curriculum emphasizes compassionate counseling approaches, social advocacy, personal growth, institutional transformation, and the creation and assessment of effective programs.

The Master's in School Counseling program aims to enhance societal well-being by developing counselors who serve as champions for social justice, working to create more equitable environments both within schools and in the broader community.
