This program equips students with interdisciplinary skills essential for managing marine and coastal environments, providing comprehensive knowledge about challenges faced by policymakers, environmental leaders, and businesses across all government tiers. The Master of Marine Affairs (M.M.A.) degree doesn't focus on a single specialization but instead broadens perspectives often missed in narrowly focused studies. Prospective students considering dual-degree options with Rhode Island School of Design, Roger Williams Law School, or URI's Graduate School of Oceanography must apply to those partner institutions first.
