Differing from traditional teacher preparation programs, this initiative launches in July. Participants dedicate their summer to engaging deeply with Philadelphia communities, discovering how schools intertwine with their local surroundings. As summer concludes, they commence teaching assignments in Philadelphia's public or charter schools, gaining almost a complete academic year of classroom experience. During this period, participants refine their student-focused teaching methods while working alongside veteran educators and receiving guidance from instructional coaches and mentors. By graduation, our alumni possess a full year of practical teaching experience to showcase on their resumes.
