The School of Education provides graduate programs culminating in Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees. Students can specialize in various disciplines including Curriculum and Instruction, Agricultural Education, English Education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, History Education, Mathematics Education, Music Education, Science Education, Social Science Education, Whole Child Approaches, and Teacher Licensure.

Our Teacher Education graduate program fosters the growth of educational leaders committed to promoting equity in education. The curriculum aligns with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC), emphasizing practical research and educator development. Designed for working professionals, the M.Ed. program incorporates action research projects. We strongly recommend students collaborate with academic advisors to establish and reach their educational and career objectives.

Our content-focused Teacher Education master's programs enhance both teaching methodologies and subject matter knowledge. Participants complete four core pedagogy courses plus at least nine credits of advanced content coursework, totaling 33-36 credits. Each student develops a customized study plan with guidance from their graduate committee and advisor. Note: This program doesn't provide teacher certification, though advisors can guide students seeking licensure through alternative pathways.
