Our special education master's program equips educators to become transformative leaders who champion inclusion for people with disabilities in schools and communities. The Teaching and Learning Department provides two distinct study paths at the graduate level: a general track and a certification track. Those selecting the General Track complete 12 core credit hours plus 18 specialized credits in their chosen focus area. Certification Track participants fulfill 12 core credits while applying 18 graduate-level certification credits toward their degree. Each student's program is developed in collaboration with an academic advisor. Candidates pursuing the Certification Track must gain admission to both the Graduate Program and one of the Department's Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Programs.
