Master's degree programs cater to students with diverse academic goals. Options exist for those pursuing doctoral studies as well as individuals aiming to complete their formal education in pure or applied mathematics at the master's level. Alongside standard Graduate Studies requirements, students must meet the specialized course and condition criteria outlined below. Additional information is accessible through the Department of Mathematics Graduate Student Handbook, obtainable both in the department office and digitally. All mathematics courses counting toward degree requirements, including related reading courses, must be completed for letter grades. Master's candidates must pass a final written or oral examination (or both), except when choosing the pre-PhD track.
