This intensive 11-month graduate program serves as a final degree for English language educators and teachers of other languages. Admission for pursuing an MA in General Linguistics is granted only in rare cases.
LTS develops future leaders in language instruction. In our globalized world, the program addresses the changing requirements of both dominant and minority language learners. Participants can focus on multiple languages, including underrepresented ones like Pacific Northwest Indigenous languages.
As researchers, we aim to uncover the reasons behind observed language patterns and explore how linguistic structures emerge. Linguistics graduate students collaborate with top scholars whose work spans from field research to laboratory experiments, sociolinguistics, and practical language applications.
