The Department of Geography provides advanced degree programs culminating in either a Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Our graduate studies focus on three key areas: Human Geography, Physical Geography, and Geographic Information Science. With our modest faculty size, students typically pursue customized programs incorporating courses from related fields. While we expect foundational geography knowledge, we actively encourage applicants from diverse academic backgrounds who can leverage their prior education to address geographical challenges.
