The General Social Sciences (GSS) program is an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree designed to equip students for thriving in today's interconnected world. GSS students master the analysis of societal challenges through research methodologies and critical evaluation. They cultivate creative solution-finding abilities that translate to diverse sectors including corporate, public service, legal, and educational fields. The program's adaptable structure enables personalized scheduling and course selection, empowering students to customize their learning journey while managing various academic and personal commitments.
This multidisciplinary program features four specialized tracks: applied economics, business and society, crime/law/society, globalization/environment/policy, and social studies education. Each concentration delivers targeted competencies for numerous professional trajectories. According to EMSI data, GSS alumni most frequently enter careers in management, sales, administrative support, and education-related fields.
