International Communication This specialization critically analyzes media and cultural phenomena in global settings. Employing diverse research methods such as ethnographic studies, phenomenological interpretation, textual/discourse criticism, and statistical analysis, it investigates the interplay between cultural perspectives and media systems, content, and viewership. Such studies reveal how media and cultural influences mold societal structures, from local communities to worldwide connections. The research also treats culture and media as dynamic arenas where issues of ethnicity, social class, and gender intersect in movements for societal transformation.
