The Art Education master's program enables students to expand their understanding of educational theory, practice, and research while focusing on specialized areas of art and museum education. Our curriculum combines analytical thinking, innovative research, transformative creation, and inclusive methodologies to promote justice and sustainability. Students can select from three concentrations—either for professional growth or to obtain new specializations and credentials. All tracks provide flexibility to complete a thesis, project, or practicum. The 36-credit program leads to an M.A. in Art Education.
This general track serves practicing art educators, including certified teachers, who wish to deepen their understanding of historical and contemporary art while refining their pedagogical approaches through advanced study. Participants may opt for coursework alone or complement it with a thesis or final project.
