The Film Studies Department provides a two-year MA program focusing on cinema's history, theory, and artistic qualities. Our in-depth program features advanced courses covering film aesthetics, historical analysis, international cinema, and practical filmmaking.

Students collaborate with renowned faculty to create personalized study plans aligned with their academic interests and professional aspirations, concluding with a final thesis project.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree - Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in this country or its equivalent in a foreign institution.
Grade Point Average - Have a strong overall academic record with a B average or better in the basic courses prerequisite to the area of proposed graduate study.
The Graduate School requires one official transcript from each university, college, community college, junior college and high school dual enrollment institution attended.
Transfer credit listed on another institution's transcript is not acceptable. Transcripts are not required for short term study abroad work that is Tran scripted (i.e., the courses and/or grades from the study abroad experience are listed) by a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
