The Master of Science (M.S.) degree equips students with advanced, evidence-based competencies in ethical and culturally sensitive practices for client care. The Couple and Family Counseling specialization trains you to practice as relationship therapists, employing systemic perspectives when working with both individuals and families across diverse clinical environments.

All CED programs maintain CACREP accreditation and require in-person attendance at UNCG's primary campus. These rigorous full-time programs primarily schedule classes between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Qualification Requirements

The Graduate School requires a course-by-course evaluation report showing completion of a bachelors and a graduate degree if required by the program that is equivalent to a US degree from an international college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.
Students enter Graduate School with no academic standing and are expected to earn at least a GPA of 3.0 in their first semester to be placed in Academic Good Standing Continuing students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate course work at UNCG to remain in Academic Good Standing.
Academic Transcripts - For US transcripts please follow the normal protocol from your institution when ordering official transcripts For Undergraduate Admissions the International Recruitment and Admissions Office accepts stamped copies of high school transcripts from US community colleges.
