UNC Charlotte's top-ranked Master of Social Work program equips students to become skilled professionals and leaders in culturally-aware, community-focused practice, policy development, and research. The program provides a comprehensive social work education with customizable options through electives and hands-on practicum placements. Although we don't mandate a social work background or undergraduate degree (except for Advanced Standing candidates), preference is given to applicants with human services experience. Alumni have launched successful careers across various settings including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, social service agencies, crisis centers, and advocacy organizations. Graduates also meet eligibility requirements for state licensure or certification.
