The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education and Child Development is a graduate program designed for education professionals with an accredited bachelor's degree who aspire to become collaborative instructional leaders. These leaders demonstrate expertise, effectiveness, self-reflection, and commitment to equity and diversity. After completing the 33-credit curriculum, graduates with an A-Level North Carolina teaching license may be eligible for an M-Level license.
UNC Charlotte's M.Ed. in Special Education and Child Development, with its Special Education focus, caters to licensed Special Education teachers seeking career advancement. Graduates completing the 33-credit program (21 required and 12 elective credits) will qualify for North Carolina's M-Level Special Education teaching license.
