Starting from day one, students cultivate cultural competence to effectively serve diverse populations. This training empowers future counselors to connect with and support clients across different religious, economic, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, and racial backgrounds through therapeutic interventions and practical guidance.
The program offers flexible specialization through electives in areas like grief counseling, crisis intervention, spiritual counseling, adolescent therapy, play therapy, and more. Students may also pursue independent research projects under faculty supervision or earn additional certifications in Play Therapy, Gerontology, or Addictions alongside their degree.
