The Theatre Department offers a liberal arts education centered on students, preparing them as theatre practitioners, academics, and educators to explore contemporary industry standards and innovative entrepreneurial approaches in professional theatre. In keeping with the university's dedication to accessible education, we incorporate principles of fairness and diversity to foster dynamic intellectual exploration, responsible community involvement, and cutting-edge artistic research. Under the guidance of faculty who are nationally acclaimed theatre professionals and scholars, our program cultivates imagination, curiosity, analytical reasoning, communication abilities (both verbal and written), and cultural awareness through academic instruction, independent and group projects, and realized theatrical performances. Learners develop the skills to contribute to ongoing scholarly conversations while examining performance theory, historical context, and practical production elements, establishing a challenging academic atmosphere deeply connected to the theatrical discipline.
