The University of Central Missouri's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre with a Performance concentration equips you for a dynamic career in stage and screen productions. At UCM, you'll develop your acting skills through participation in 35-40 annual productions while completing your theatre curriculum. Paid positions are available for managing, directing, or designing in our touring children's theater program. Our practical curriculum readies students for professional acting careers or advanced studies.
During your Theatre Performance degree at UCM, you'll explore both modern and classical drama while performing in our cutting-edge 442-seat Highlander Theater. Additionally, you can refine scenes and showcase original pieces in our intimate 100-seat Richard Herman Black Box Theater.
Our experienced faculty members have directed and performed across the U.S. and hold leadership roles in prestigious theater organizations including the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), and Central Missouri Repertory.
