The Global Studies program leverages faculty and coursework from the Department of Global Studies along with other departments, equipping students with analytical skills to examine societies beyond the U.S. within our interconnected world. This interdisciplinary approach enables students to explore diverse cultures by transcending conventional academic boundaries. The major proves especially beneficial for careers in government, law, media, education, commerce, or military service, as well as for roles in international bodies like the UN or cross-cultural NGOs.
Alumni pursue careers across various sectors including government agencies, international institutions, corporations, nonprofits, educational institutions, research centers, media outlets, legal practices, financial services, PR firms, and tourism. Professional paths include diplomatic roles, policy experts, trade specialists, UN personnel, advocacy professionals, intelligence analysts, language specialists, customs officials, cultural mediators, reporters, corporate leaders, consultants, language educators, academics, military personnel, and religious workers.
