The UNC Adams School of Dentistry provides a three-year advanced program focused on three key disciplines: instruction, clinical practice, and scholarly investigation, culminating in a Master of Science in Operative Dentistry and Biomaterials along with an Operative Dentistry Certificate. The UNC Operative Dentistry Department boasts a distinguished legacy, having produced seven editions of Sturdevant's Art and Science of Operative Dentistry - historically the most widely used dental textbook globally - while its faculty have earned multiple prestigious teaching honors.
