The Environment, Ecology and Energy Program provides graduate education in Ecology through M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. The M.S. program involves original research culminating in a thesis, whereas the M.A. focuses on producing a comprehensive literature review. Students completing a master's degree who wish to continue for a Ph.D. must formally request approval using the Permission to Continue Beyond the Master's Degree form. Exceptional candidates may enter the Ph.D. program directly, based on the Graduate Admissions Committee's evaluation.
