The Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior (EEB) graduate program connects faculty and students exploring organismal biology across all scales, from molecular to ecosystem levels. Research spans diverse topics including evolutionary molecular mechanisms, social group dynamics, species distribution patterns, and global biogeochemical cycles. Students receive comprehensive training in core EEB disciplines while pursuing specialized studies in areas like zoology, ethology, genetic evolution, ecological systems, and theoretical models. Field research opportunities extend globally to locations like Africa and Central America, as well as regional sites including Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve and Itasca Biological Station. The program emphasizes interactive learning through seminars and customized tutorials, fostering a dynamic academic community.
Anyone who has or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside the U.S. may apply for graduate admission.
