The Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences at Oregon State University provides both Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs in Rangeland Ecology and Management.
Accredited by the Society for Range Management, the department is nationally recognized as a premier institution for rangeland studies.
Graduates will gain a thorough, well-rounded knowledge of rangeland ecology and management through instruction from faculty members with specialized expertise and diverse viewpoints on various aspects of rangeland science.
Degree programs may include research opportunities in areas such as livestock and wildlife studies, range nutrition, plant community ecology, range plant physiology, habitat enhancement, watershed and riparian management, ecosystem rehabilitation, sustainable land use practices, agroforestry, and rangeland economics.
