The Mathematics Department provides graduate education programs culminating in master of arts, master of science, and doctor of philosophy degrees. Students can incorporate or skip the master's degree when pursuing a doctorate. Graduate studies may be completed entirely within the department or, when suitable, under the guidance of an approved advisor from a related field. The Mathematics Department is located in Phillips Hall and Chapman Hall. Each year, the department awards numerous teaching assistantships and fellowships.
