Welcome to the Clinical Psychology Graduate Program within UNC Chapel Hill's Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. Our doctoral program has maintained continuous accreditation from the American Psychological Association since 1949 and also holds accreditation from the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). We focus on training that combines clinical research with evidence-based practice, understanding that students' professional goals may develop throughout their graduate studies. The program provides two specialized tracks: Adult Psychology and Child/Family Psychology.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent at an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. For instance, an applicant with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics may be considered for the Quantitative Psychology program or, for the Social Psychology program, an applicant may have a degree in Sociology.
The required minimum total score on the exams are internet-based TOEFL exam = 90, The IELTS exam = 7.
