The Department of Biological Sciences provides a comprehensive graduate program culminating in a Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences.
Students can opt for either the thesis track or non-thesis path. The thesis track enables research specialization in Evolution/Ecology or Molecular Biology/Biochemistry, involving an extensive independent research project that results in a thesis. The non-thesis alternative combines coursework, internship opportunities, and a culminating project focused on Biomedical Sciences.
All Master's candidates must complete at least 30 graduate-level credit hours post-bachelor's degree. This curriculum ensures foundational knowledge in Biological or Biomedical Sciences while offering flexibility for students to customize their course selections according to their professional goals.
