This combined degree program is a collaboration between NYU Stern and NYU's Graduate School of Arts & Science (GSAS). Students can earn both degrees in three years, rather than the four years typically needed to complete them separately. The initial year focuses on Biology coursework through GSAS, fulfilling most requirements for the Biology degree. The subsequent two years are dedicated to finishing the MBA at Stern while completing remaining Biology credits.
Participants in the MS in Biology/MBA program begin with intensive Biology studies at GSAS during their first year, addressing the majority of MS degree requirements. They then transition to Stern for years two and three to pursue their MBA while wrapping up final Biology coursework.
For the MS in Biology/MBA program, the first academic year is devoted to Biology studies at GSAS, covering most MS degree requirements. The following two years combine MBA studies at Stern with completion of remaining Biology degree components.

Qualification Requirements
Students entering a Stern MBA program are required to hold a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or an equivalent degree from a foreign country (in some cases, this is a three-year degree).
If you submit your application prior to the conferral of your bachelor's degree or equivalent, we will accept and evaluate your application. If an offer of admission is made, it will be contingent upon graduating from your undergraduate program prior to the first day of class.
You must include transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended showing a list of all courses taken, credits earned, grades received and the name of the degree earned (if any). There are two options for submitting an unofficial transcript via the online application:
1. Upload a scanned copy (recommended, if possible).
2. Complete and upload the Self-Reported Transcript Form.
Stern has no minimum standardized test score requirements. In addition to the GMAT and GRE, NYU Stern also accepts the Executive Assessment Test (EA), MCAT, LSAT, and DAT. Read more below. We consider only your highest overall scores. Therefore, feel free to re-take a test if you believe you can improve your performance. A valid standardized test score is required for all MBA applicants to the Full-time and Luxury and Retail MBAs.
