The School of the Arts provides Master of Fine Arts programs in Film and Theatre, featuring four specialized tracks: Film-Production, Film-Screenwriting, Theatre-Performance (including Acting and Directing), and Theatre-Design (covering Scenic, Lighting, and Costume disciplines). Playwriting studies are available through the Creative Writing Workshop. Our department maintains accreditation with the National Association of Schools of Theatre, ensuring our MFA programs meet NAST's rigorous benchmarks.
The MFA serves as the highest academic credential for aspiring professionals in film production, theatre arts, and creative writing. This intensive program mandates 60 credit hours of coursework along with a public presentation or exhibition of a thesis project before degree completion.
