The Integrative Biology Doctoral program equips students for biology careers by combining demanding coursework with intensive research. This interdisciplinary approach tackles complex scientific challenges that require insights from multiple fields. Our faculty specialize in diverse areas including molecular/cellular biology, physiology, ecology, evolutionary studies, conservation science, organismal biology, biochemistry, and genomics. Students leverage extensive campus resources and external partnerships for their research, ultimately producing and defending a dissertation that makes an original, meaningful scientific contribution.
Currently, about 20 students participate in the program. Financial assistance (including stipends and tuition coverage) is offered through teaching positions, research roles, and fellowships. Prospective students should review degree prerequisites and application guidelines, and are advised to reach out to relevant faculty in their research focus areas.

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad.
Applicants enrolled in the final year of a bachelor's degree or international equivalent will be considered for conditional admission.
