The Master of Landscape Architecture is a fully accredited professional graduate program designed to equip students for careers in landscape architecture. This MLA program welcomes applicants from both design and non-design academic backgrounds. Note that the School of Architecture and Planning does not provide an undergraduate Landscape Architecture degree.
At the University of New Mexico, the Landscape Architecture graduate program works in tandem with the Architecture and Community and Regional Planning programs within the School of Architecture and Planning. Through robust interdisciplinary connections between these three programs, combined with the School's strong partnerships with regional professional organizations, government agencies, community groups, and cultural institutions, students gain access to a multifaceted and enriching educational environment.
