The Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture provides professional graduate programs culminating in a Master of Landscape Architecture degree, available to students both with and without prior design education. Candidates holding bachelor's degrees in any field may apply for the three-year MLA 1 track, while those with accredited landscape architecture or architecture degrees may qualify for the accelerated two-year MLA 2 or MLA AP programs.
Our long-standing Master of Landscape Architecture program consistently prepares graduates for successful careers in design firms, government agencies, and community organizations across the United States and internationally. The curriculum emphasizes design while addressing challenges ranging from regional Gulf South concerns to global issues. With faculty bringing varied professional expertise and research focuses, students benefit from a rich, integrated educational approach. The school maintains strong collaborations with the LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio, creating numerous opportunities to investigate design solutions and research topics related to the evolving ecosystems of the Mississippi River Delta and Gulf Coast region.
