The Diversity and Health Data Science Across the Lifespan specialization examines the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual foundations of human growth, health, and wellness within diverse cultural and linguistic frameworks, educational structures (including healthcare and justice systems), public health policies, and data-driven strategies for advancing health equity. This field employs an interdisciplinary approach to explore research topics bridging human development, health outcomes, and sociocultural variations. Learners develop expertise in conducting comprehensive interdisciplinary studies through curriculum covering diversity science, developmental psychology, health psychology, and both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, while collaborating within a dynamic academic network and contributing to faculty-led research initiatives. Students analyze historical and contemporary research models to assess their applicability across different cultural perspectives and settings.
