The PhD degree is awarded to individuals who have shown significant scholarly achievement and the capacity for autonomous research and analysis in Psychology. Students usually specialize in one of Psychology's various subfields. The program focuses on cultivating research proficiency across all specializations, while fostering skills and mindsets conducive to sustained research excellence. Cognitive Psychology faculty explore diverse subjects such as language processing, conceptual understanding, mental models, sensory perception, knowledge acquisition, memory systems, judgment processes, and logical thinking. Our investigative approaches encompass behavioral studies, computational simulations, mathematical models, observational research in natural settings, cross-cultural studies, and brain imaging techniques. We work alongside specialists in neurophysiology, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, linguistics, and anthropology. Cognitive Psychology principles and techniques find applications in numerous domains including legal systems, healthcare, technology development, business strategies, political science, and educational practices.
