The Religious Studies Program operates as an interdisciplinary department under the College of Arts & Sciences, engaging faculty and students from throughout the University community. This includes all colleges, professional schools, satellite campuses, and evening/weekend programs. Our bachelor's degree curriculum offers foundational knowledge in religious scholarship while delivering comprehensive liberal arts education. We examine religion both as a distinct field of study and as a framework for understanding humanity's nature, modern societies, historical developments, spiritual practices, and moral principles. Students choose to major or minor in religious studies for diverse career paths - whether as religion teachers or researchers, spiritual leaders across various faiths, candidates for professional degrees, graduate students in related humanities/social science fields, or individuals seeking personal intellectual growth.
