The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Dance offers a comprehensive approach to dance education within a liberal arts framework. Graduates with a B.A. in Dance gain excellent preparation for advanced studies or professional paths in Dance Education, Dance History/Criticism, and Dance Performance. The program features two specialization tracks: Contemporary Dance and Flamenco. This versatile curriculum equips students to communicate concepts, emotions, and personal perspectives through various dance forms such as ballet, modern, jazz, ethnic, and folk dance, while examining dance as a cultural practice. The program covers technical training, choreography, Laban notation, dance history and analysis, as well as dance production.
