The University of New Haven's Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Program trains students to become skilled and adaptable professionals in this evolving field. A core aspect of the CMHC Program's mission is educating counselors to serve in diverse communities across various practice environments. This involves cultivating the abilities, insights, and cultural awareness needed to support people from different backgrounds, along with applying advocacy and social justice principles. The program also focuses on incorporating ethical and legal standards while fostering leadership qualities. Rooted in the University of New Haven's values, the CMHC program inspires students to adopt hands-on, cooperative, and inquiry-driven learning approaches.
Applicants must have official university transcripts and proof of bachelor’s degree completion. TOEFL of 80, or IELTS of 6.5, or PTE of 53 is required.
