The field of School Psychology continues to offer promising career paths for those with master's or doctoral degrees. Our program aligns with the guidelines established by both the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and APA's Division 16 for School Psychology. Participants will pursue the New Jersey Department of Education's (NJDOE) certification requirements through a curriculum developed in partnership with Montclair State University's acclaimed School of Education, which delivers the essential educational foundations and coursework required by the NJDOE.

Qualification Requirements

The Graduate School requires the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree in order to be eligible to apply for a graduate program. In addition, applicants must meet the following departmental requirements: 12 undergraduate credits in psychology, including a course in statistics and a laboratory course in experimental psychology, and approval by the department committee. Applicants with non-U.S. degrees, please visit the international applicants page to review the U.S. degree equivalency information.

A minimum TOEFL score of at least 83 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 62 on the paper-based test (pBT).
For IELTS test takers, the minimum required score is 6.5.
