Earning a master's degree in microbiology equips students with the expertise needed for diverse careers in scientific and healthcare sectors. UNH's microbiology graduates possess the necessary knowledge, abilities, and practical experience to thrive in biotech firms, pharmaceutical industries, academic institutions, and government research facilities, while also being prepared for advanced studies like PhD programs, medical education, and healthcare-related professional training. International applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as a precondition for applying to any of our graduate programs. In some cases, you may also need a master’s degree or its equivalent.
Students must have a completion of foundational courses in biology, chemistry (including organic chemistry), physics, and mathematics.
English Language Score:
Minimum score requirements are as follows: TOEFL (Computer-based): 213; TOEFL (Internet-based): 80; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5; TOEFL ITP (Institution Administered): On case-by-case basis; TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): On case-by-case basis; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
Applications must be completed by the following deadlines in order to be reviewed for admission: Fall: 12/15.
