For those looking to advance their academic journey with aspirations of teaching in higher education, our psychology Ph.D. program provides the perfect opportunity. Complete your degree in five years while gaining comprehensive psychological knowledge, refining your teaching and communication abilities, and conducting research in your chosen field. Specializations are available in three key areas: brain, behavior and cognition; social/personality; and developmental psychology. Approximately 75% of our alumni pursue careers in academic settings.
Our Psychology Department provides a four-to-five-year curriculum culminating in a Ph.D. This program aims to cultivate behavioral scientists with extensive psychological expertise, strong teaching and communication capabilities, and the ability to conduct rigorous research within their specialization. While some graduates pursue non-academic careers, the program primarily focuses on developing the essential skills for research psychologists aiming for teaching positions at colleges or universities.
