Designed for aspiring high school math teachers, this program offers comprehensive training in mathematical concepts combined with modern teaching methods and deep insights into student learning. As a mathematics education student, you'll benefit from direct collaboration with the math department while partnering with the education department to earn New Hampshire teaching credentials. You'll learn from distinguished faculty including active mathematicians, statisticians, and educators. The curriculum covers advanced mathematics, elementary/middle school math concepts, and effective teaching strategies. An accelerated five-year pathway leads to both a master's degree and teaching certification. Experience intimate class settings and diverse practical learning opportunities. Our faculty includes recipients of notable awards such as the Grammy and MacArthur Fellowship. Graduates frequently earn the distinguished Department of Defense SMART Scholarship.
Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
English Language Score:
Minimum TOEFL score is 80 (internet version), 550 (paper version), 213 (computer version); recommended minimum IELTS score is 6.5; recommend Duolingo score is 105 or higher.
