The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences (MCBS) at the University of New Hampshire provides undergraduate and graduate programs that highlight our expertise in biochemistry, cell biology, genomics, microbiology, and biomedical sciences. We are also fostering interdisciplinary partnerships both within and beyond the university to launch new ventures in environmental science, computational biology, and translational medicine. Numerous MCBS faculty members have earned recognition at institutional and national levels, with honors for outstanding teaching, research, and mentorship. For undergraduates, experiential, hands-on learning is central to our educational approach. Beyond advanced lab courses, many students undertake independent research projects guided by faculty advisors and/or take part in valuable internships with local employers.
