The Chemistry Department provides two Master of Science degree options: a research-focused Thesis Master's (Plan A) and a non-thesis Master's (Plan B). All chemistry graduate students must meet the Graduate School's general requirements.
Upon graduation, students will:
excel in professional settings by solving significant chemistry challenges, tackling problems outside their specialization, and generating innovative concepts.
adapt to diverse work environments through teamwork, independent work, project leadership, mentoring colleagues, and effectively communicating scientific findings to both scientific audiences and the general public.
demonstrate professional integrity through ethical conduct, ongoing education, professional society participation, and dedication to safety and environmental protection.
For admission to the M.S. program, a B.S. in Chemistry or related field with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (or 3.0 for the last two years) is required.
For international applicants: TOEFL (550 paper or 80 IBT), IELTS (score of 7) is required.
Application deadlines: March 1
