With expert knowledge of cellular architecture, specialists in Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) are at the forefront of combating widespread diseases and health challenges.
The CMB program forms part of the Molecular Biosciences interdisciplinary graduate initiative, granting both Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees while equipping students for roles in biological research, biomedical industries, and academic instruction.
This dynamic program provides extensive study areas including modern biophysics, oncology, cellular studies, chemical biology, immune system research, insect biochemistry, microbial science, drug development, and botanical sciences.
Participants engage in an intensive curriculum with varied investigative projects utilizing cutting-edge laboratories and technology. An integrated first-year syllabus and laboratory rotations expose students to the breadth of molecular bioscience research. This degree provides exceptional training for careers in biomedical investigation, as well as biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Prospective students must meet these prerequisites: 8 credit hours each in organic chemistry and biology, 6 in physics, and 4 in calculus. Any admitted students lacking these requirements must complete them during their initial graduate year.
Application Deadlines: Dec 15 (Fall) | June 15 (Spring)
