Chemical engineers utilize core concepts from chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and associated engineering fields to manufacture products and materials that benefit society. These professionals serve as innovation drivers across diverse sectors, ranging from semiconductor fabrication to pharmaceutical design and artificial organ development, as well as creating sustainable energy solutions like fuel cell technology. Freshmen beginning with MATH 181 can complete their degree program within four years.
To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
