The library science curriculum equips students for careers in modern public, academic, and specialized libraries, as well as information organizations. Through classroom instruction, fieldwork, and service opportunities, the program fosters the personal qualities, professional competencies, and technical abilities needed to serve diverse communities effectively.
The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences includes six academic divisions: Counseling, Educational Leadership, Special Education and Communication Disorders, Teacher Education, Biomechanics, and Health and Kinesiology. These departments train professionals for various roles such as teaching, school administration, counseling, public health, sports medicine, fitness science, library services, special needs education, sign language interpretation, movement science, inclusive early childhood education, and speech pathology. The college provides both undergraduate and graduate programs, with this catalog detailing only the bachelor's degree offerings.
