The Glenn Korff School of Music features an exceptional faculty and extensive facilities. The Westbrook Music Building includes a music library with around 55,000 books, scores, and journals, 18,000 audio recordings, plus computer listening stations and video booths. The school also provides a dedicated music computer lab and a cutting-edge music technology classroom with specialized software for composition, notation, and music education. Performance venues include the Lied Center for Performing Arts, designed to accommodate large touring productions, and Kimball Recital Hall. Master of Music students can specialize in performance, music education, composition, music history, theory, conducting (orchestral/wind band/choral), jazz studies, woodwind specialization, or piano pedagogy. Doctoral candidates may focus on performance (applied instrument or chamber music), composition, jazz studies, or conducting. The Ph.D. program offers specializations in music education, piano pedagogy, or vocal pedagogy. Additionally, the school provides a certificate program in music entrepreneurship.

Applicants to the Office of Graduate Studies whose native language is not English are required to submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score of at least 6.5
