Those applying for the Music Performance String Emphasis must exhibit exceptional playing ability. An in-person audition is mandatory, though under exceptional circumstances, recorded performances may substitute. Although GRE scores aren't mandatory for admission, prospective students are encouraged to complete these exams early if they intend to apply for UWM's Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship or pursue further graduate studies after earning their master's degree at UWM.
