The Department of Educational Psychology provides graduate programs including a Master of Arts (M.A.) in educational psychology, an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in psychological studies in education. For the M.A. and Ph.D. programs, students must select a concentration area: either developmental and learning sciences, counseling psychology, quantitative/qualitative/psychometric methods (QQPM), or school psychology (available only for Ph.D. candidates). The Developmental and Learning Sciences specialization emphasizes both theoretical advancement and practical application in three key areas: 1) Social-Emotional Development, 2) Cognitive Processes, Learning Theories, and Instructional Methods, and 3) Educational Neuroscience throughout human development.
