The Department of Anthropology provides a Master's program designed for both career professionals seeking advancement and students preparing for further graduate studies like a PhD. The department focuses on three core disciplines: biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and archaeology. (Linguistic anthropology is available through other university departments with connections to our program.) Faculty members conduct research across the Americas, Africa, and Europe. Customized study plans are often possible. This program particularly benefits students focused on: applied anthropology (including cultural resource management, business development, and education) digital anthropology tools (3D modeling, GIS, open-source software) cultural preservation human behavior and ecology studies growth and development research archaeological landscape studies.
